Hi guys,
attached the GERMAN translation.
There are some lines I am not sure if it's 100% correct. Especially the area about county/land/state => as far as I know in Germany we only have one option (Bundesland = state).

To all german readers: Please check and give your feedback to the translations! Danke! :-)

Mandy,

I am not German, so I won't comment on your translation, however, if I open your textfile I get strange results:

Vielen Dank für Ihre Bestellung\!</b>\nIn Kürze erhalten Sie eine Bestätigung per E-Mail.

You should probably save your translation again with text-coding Unicode (Utf-8) instead of "Western Roman"

I'm really looking forward to using this product in live mode.
We already have the similar feature in our roadmap. The current thread is only the first step to the full Ecwid multilanguage.

Default question

I just started the translation into Dutch, what should we do with sentences like this:

Quote:
CheckoutServiceImpl.wrong_address=Wrong shipping address. Please check that you've entered a valid two-letter state code or a full name, and you've not misspelled city or street name.
This is probably a warning that pops up when an input to a form is validated ?
But what's with the "two-letter state code", we don't have "states" over here, let alone "two-letter codes", so there is little use of translating this (or validating this input)

Should I translate this, or can I safely let this out ? Or should I just change it to something like (in Dutch ofcourse) Wrong shipping address. Please check that you entered the correct information and you've not misspelled city or street name.

question 2: in what context is
Quote:
DateRangeBox.3=Lifetime
used ?

questin 3: what is a county code ?
Quote:
Person.enter_county=Please enter a valid county code

You're right. Ecwid shows this error message when the shipping address checked by UPS isn't correct.

Two-letter state codes are mainly used in the US, as I know. However please note that your translation will be used not only in your country. In future if for example somebody from the Netherlands travels in the US and wants to purchase something from Ecwid store, it will show the Dutch language based on the browser's settings, however the US address will be entered.

So I suggest just translate this label as it is.

Open the 'Sales' tab in your Ecwid Control Panel and check the filter.

Ecwid doesn't support counties yet, but we have text labels for them.

Ok, I did that

I'll attach the textfile. It needs to be tested in the site, since some things seem to work together or in a context which is not always clear.
I can help with this if you're ready, did not try to switch the language myself yet.
