Is that possible to make some fields in address form non-mandatory if a buyer chooses user-defined delivery method? This can be very useful for a pickup delivery method. In this case buyer's address is not necessary.

anyone?

All shipping methods (carrier-calculated or user-defined) in Ecwid require shipping address because it is necessary for a proper shipping cost calculation. "Free pick up" shipping method is just a kind of user-defined shipping method, and sometimes a store owner would like to offer it to everyone, whereas it is also possible to limit free pick-up for local customers who leave in specific area, for example, inside state or inside country. If you want to, say, limit your free pick-up shipping method for your local area, you will need to define destination zone for it. In this case shipping address will be required to find out if the free pick-up shipping available for this customer or not.

Free pick-up shipping is really popular around our customers, so if you consider that it should be added as a separate shipping method in Ecwid, please, vote for this idea here: ideas.ecwid.com/forums/22031-customer-suggestions-ideas-for-ecwid/suggestions/2304408-

Thanks, Maria,
I have already voted for this idea. I understand that free pick-up is not so popular in, say, the USA, but in Russia it is one of the most popular methods when buying goods in online shops. Taking into account that about 7% of Ecwid customers are from Russia, I believe this feature will be widely used here. I think that you can even introduce it for paid accounts only in order to monetize the service better.

Default In-store Pickup feature

Hello there!

We remember that you asked us about In-Store Pickup feature and we are happy to announce the release of this feature! Now you can enable In-Store Pickup option for your customers and they will be able to select it on a checkout page. Customers, choosing to pick up ordered items by themselves in your store, won’t need to enter a shipping address. They will also receive an automatic email notification with order details and pickup instructions.

You can find more detailed information in our article: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/a...s/115000252285

If you have any additional questions, please, feel free to ask.

Best regards,
