My boss wants a detailed explanation on Brands in attributes

we are having no purchases we want to augment our data base with UPC & Brand but some of our items can be used by multiple manufacturer's machines.

Can Multiple brands be referenced in the BRAND field?
Could this Information be populated by scanning in the bar codes from our products?
What is the Brand reference limit?

Also what is the template for acceptable import of existing inventory information in Excel form?

Hello!

You can add several brands to one “Brand” field, the field length is limited by 200 symbols.

It is also possible to create your own product types (groups of products that share the same attributes) and attributes for them. Product can be related to one particular type and use its attributes. For more information, please, refer to this article in our knowledge base:

Concerning bar codes, I’m not sure I’ve understood you correctly. Would you mind explaining how you see this process? This information will help me to find a proper solution for you.

As for import, Ecwid allows importing products in bulk via CSV file format. For more information about importing, please, go to:

If any questions remained unanswered, please, let me know.
