Sub Category Dominance

Hello,
I am not sure what change i did but now it seems that on certain Categories the related product is showing as the main result ON TOP of the actual category See attached photo.

Here is the link to the page - Click Bedrooms and Living rooms - the related product is Throw pillows

http://villanwebsitedesign.com/Furni...born/shop.html

Thanks

Hi,

If you mean the Throw Pillows, it's not a related product actually. It's a category. Throw Pillows is assigned as subcategory to categories Bedroom and Living Room. Hence you enter these categories pages, you see the Throw Pillow subcategory icon on the top and then products below. You have product 'Throw Pillows' as well, and both, the subcategory and the product, have the same image.
The product is attached as a related item (in Ecwid control panel, Catalog -> Products -> product page, tab 'Related products') to several products, for ex., "Bedroom 1", it's displayed on the product details page under "You may also like":

Please, check.

Hi,
OK I guess I am confused.

Yes, I need the Throw pillows to be a related item, but, to 'ONLY' show on the Sub-category in the Navigational tab under 'Living Rooms' and 'Bedrooms'

I don't want it to show as an image when either tab is clicked (as it does in the photo i provided)

If there is a CSS code to do this - I still want REALATED Items to show at the BOTTOM of the item details page and the checkout page.

You see the problem is I am going to have many related items and if their images show at the top like that visitors will have to scroll down to see the Bedroom or Living room items.... it might be a bit confusing to click 'Living Rooms' and see many other items like throw pillows, lamps, coffee tables etc. - the actual item "Living Rooms" will be hidden unless they scroll down.

This might be confusing.

I prefer related items to show at the Nav as a Subcategory.

Hope this helps.
Thank you
