ecwid-form css

I am trying to customize the background color of ecwid-form.
The correct selection rule should be:

div.ecwid-form {
background-color:#000000;
}

But the color does not change.
I tried adding !important, but no way.

I tried a more specific selection:

html#ecwid_html body#ecwid_body div.ecwid-productBrowser-cart-emptyCartPanel div.ecwid-form, html#ecwid_html body#ecwid_body div.ecwid-Checkout-orderFailed div.ecwid-form { ...}

but no way.

I cleared the cache of the browser. No way.
I tried using another browser (never used to open that page, so no cache). No way.

Any hint?

Thanks.

Silly me.
The css was invalid.
It was not easy to find out.
Any plans to add a validator in the design tab?

A very interesting idea. It would be possible to add a button, which automatically submits the entered CSS code to validator: http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/#...i+with_options

However since we have to use some browser-specific CSS rules to please IE, it will always show some warnings.
