Question

how do i pass dynamic pricing to storefront & cart?

My products prices change every few minutes. On my page I have js that updates & outputs updated prices every few minutes to DOM elements via ID's.

How can I pass these price changes into the store and then along to cart?
Suppose customer has cart open for 20 minutes, I'd like prices to update in cart should they change.

Please break it down as I'm not a developer.

Thanks

Hello!

Thank you for your question.

In fact product prices in Ecwid can be changed:

1. Manually - you should log into your Ecwid Control Panel > Catalog > Products and change your product prices there.

2. Via import feature - you should create your own CSV import file, specify there new product prices and import this file in Ecwid.

3. Via Ecwid API v.3 - you can develop your own custom application that will communicate with Ecwid via API and change product prices.

I believe in your case you should use third option and develop your own application or script that will connect with Ecwid via API and change your prices every few minutes. Such development will require programming skills from you, so if you are not a developer - you should hire somebody for this work.

If you need a professional help with this development, please, feel free to contact Qualiteam company: sales@qtmsoft.com

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply.

I know I may be crazy but I was hoping someone might put a few minutes into developing the script and post it here.

Thank you to anyone who does,
john

I understand John. However smartMart is right - this is a pretty serious development indeed.

Let's hope somebody will post here a solution for you.

Hi and thank you for your reply.

I did find a dev and although he estimated it would take 1 week, it ended up taking 6 weeks.
That's development

All is good now though, thank you again,

Hi John I was wondering if I could also make use of the code?
Ofcourse I'll pay you because, it cost you money.

But before that, does it work like this?
For instance I have 10 apples that cost 8 dollar, the marketprice change to 9 dollar and the product price dynamically change.

- Can you select the source of the dynamic price?
