Image url

I have been trying to add image links to the database but for some reason they are not showing up?
I already have a store, so the images have their own specific URL. But when I add the link to the database file .. it doesnot end up showing in my store?
Here is the link to the page I am testing:

http://www.themakeupstore.ca/new-website.php

Pleas help! and quickly.. cuz I need to put this up soon.
Thanx

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking for help with. Do you mean images are missing (product, or category images?).

You need to add a category or product image to each; you can also add more to the gallery so they show up with the product detail.

Each image uploaded through Ewcid control panel should show up in the store, and apart from images you can insert in the product detail edit screen, all images are stored/hosted within the Ecwid system.

Do you mean you're trying to add external URL's for images related to products, or just trying to upload (in the normal way) images related to categories or products.

Can you specify one (at least) as an example of what is not working?

I am sorry if I wasnt't clear.
I meant product images. If I do it directly through control panel, everything is fine. But if I add an external URL it doesn't work. For example I put this link in the database that I uploaded for one of the lipsticks(product): http://www.themakeupstore.ca/resourc...Minxed-300.jpg
But no image comes up on the product page?
Hope this clears it up

Sorry, I'm still not sure what you're trying to do.

You can upload images normally and they should appear as the category or product image. You can add an image to your product details pages but only if you insert an image normally (not upload), in which case you need to provide the URL in full, something like:

HTML Code:
<img src="http://www.themakeupstore.ca/resources/OutMinxed-300.jpg"/>
Can you provide a screenshot or two of where in Ecwid you're trying to upload these images, and how you're doing it?

I think maybe you are trying to put the full URL into the "browse" box, in an attempt to upload the image, but this won't work, you need to select an image locally saved on your PC, that will then upload to ECWID's storage space where the cart is hosted.

I am putting this URL in the .csv file where it says "image url"
Then I import the .csv file to ecwid.

Sorry, still I'm at a loss at what you're attempting. I'll let someone else have a go at answering your queries.

Let me put it this way: This is from the FAQ section in ewcid

Can I import product images?
Yes, you can import the main product image. A small thumbnail will be created automatically.
First of all you need to upload(for example via FTP) your images from your computer to any web server / hosting. Your images should be accessible via direct link, e.g. http://example.com/images/product_1.jpg
Then just use such links in your import file.

I am doing this and its not working. Makes sense?

Can you please attach the exact CSV file you are trying to import and the screenshot of the import settings window in your Ecwid control panel before you start the import.
