How to connect Ecwid store to Wordpress site?

I've been trying to connect Ecwid store to my site but failed to do so. Whenever I click the 'Re-connect to Enable Control Panel' button, it always says "Connection error: please click the button again and give permissions for this plugin
to show your Ecwid store on this site." How will I fix this? Thank you.

Hi Abigale!

It's Kenga from the Ecwid team.

Have you already tried to remove the Ecwid plugin and install it again? Just in case, here is our instruction on how to install the Ecwid plugin for Wordpress: https://support.ecwid.com/hc/en-us/articles/207101259

If this didn't help to fix the issue, send us more details about the problem to support@ecwid.com, as my colleague Lexy offered in her post.

We need to get this information from you:

- The link to your store or the email address your Ecwid account is associated with;

- A screenshot of the error you get. Here is how to take it — https://www.take-a-screenshot.org/

- Please copy the info from this page — https://www.ecwid.com/internet and send it to us as well;

We will check this out and will get back to you with the recommendations.

Have a nice day!

Try these simple steps:
  1. In WordPress Admin panel go to the page where you wish your store to show.
  2. Select Add store.
  3. Choose the widgets you want to show on the page
  4. Then, select Insert into page.

Reyna Smith

Follow these steps to connect the Ecwid store to your Wordpress site:
Open your WordPress admin panel and go to Plugins → Add New.
Type "ecwid" in the search field. Click Install Now next to the Ecwid E-commerce Shopping Cart plugin:
AddPlugins.png

The installation may take several seconds.

Click Activate. This will direct you to a screen where you log into your Ecwid store.
Click Connect if you already have an Ecwid store and log into your account.
If you do not have an account, click the link below that reads “Don't have an Ecwid account? Create one now” and complete the registration.
If you didn’t connect the store directly after you installed the plugin, you can find the “Connect” button anytime in the WordPress admin panel → Ecwid → Setup.
Once connected, click Accept to give permissions to the Ecwid plugin.

I hope this helps!
Cheers.

Hi Michael,

Can you send us a screenshot of the error message as well as describe the exact steps to reproduce it?

Also, to troubleshoot it, can you try connecting your Ecwid store to your website from another browser?

Thanks!
