Silver features implementation

I have just upgraded to silver and love some of the new features, unfortunately, I am a bit of a novices and learn most of my tech skills from forums and youtube. I an unable to figure out how to use the API's, SSO and the instant order notification that are available for Silver. Are they automatic?. Also what exactly will they do for me? I am in the slow process of transfering my items from ebay to my site and have not been able yet to generate much traffic. Any help would be appreciated on the items I listed above or on strengthening my SEO's.

Thanks, John

Hi John,

Thank you for supporting Ecwid!

Single Sign On, Order API, Instant Order Notifications and other Ecwid APIs can be used for integration Ecwid with other software. In particular, Single Sign On allows your customers to sign into your site and fully use your store without having to sign into Ecwid. I.e. if a customer is logged in to your site, he/she is logged in to your store automatically, even if he/she didn’t have an account in your store before. Instant Order Notifications can be used for notifying another application in a real-time about important events happened in your store: 'new order placed' and 'order status changed'. That can be useful, for example, if you decide to integrate your store with 3d-party orders/inventory tracking systems.

Speaking of SEO, there are several ways to improve SEO of your Ecwid store. Please refer to this article for more details:

Thanks Makfruit,
Do I need to add code for any of these upgrades? or were the automatically installed when I upgraded to Silver?
If I am understanding you correctly, I don't think the sso is any help to me, The only sign in on my site is from ecwid. Also, Could you give an example of a "3d-party orders/inventory Tracking system".
Thanks

The mentioned API features became available when you upgraded your Ecwid account, you don't need to do anything for enabling them. In Ecwid control panel, you can find APIs secret keys and additional info about them on the "System settings → API" page.

I'd like to point out that Ecwid APIs are actually software-to-software interfaces, not user interfaces (API - application programming interface), which means they give other applications the abilities to communicate with Ecwid. In other words, rather than providing an end user with some functionality, Ecwid APIs make it possible to develop your own application and integrate it with Ecwid so that application will provide the store administrator or customers with some necessary functions. If you decide to develop such kind of a program and you need a developer for that, you can contact our friends from Qualiteam at sales@qtmsoft.com . They will be glad to help you.

You are right, there is no need to use SSO in this case.
