"Options"

Hey chaps,

I've created a store for someone selling cakes.

The options box is like this:

She's informed me... instead of the: "12'' Sponge (+£20.00)"
She'd like it just to say: '12'' Sponge - £60.00"

I've checked the options, had a quick skim through the KB... any ideas if this is possible?

Yep, the workaroudn is possible, however some CSS changes are required.

1. Change the base product price to $0.00
1. Hide the base price on the product details.
3. Hide the brackets and the plus sign in the option name.
4. Update the settings of the product options.
5. Hide the prices in the product grid view.

CSS code:

HTML Code:
div.ecwid-productBrowser-productsGrid-productBottomFragment div.ecwid-productBrowser-price,
div.ecwid-productBrowser-backgroundedPanelInner div.ecwid-productBrowser-price,
span.ecwid-productBrowser-details-optionRadioButton-sign,
span.ecwid-productBrowser-details-optionRadioButton-bracket {
  display:none;
}

Is there a way to do this for some products in a category but not all the products in the database?

No, unfortunately. This change applies to all products in cart.

Why do you want to apply it for some products only?

I'm using the options to offer quantity discounts and the client has only a few items that need this. Since I have to hide the defualt pricing with the CSS to not show 0.00 I did not want to do this for every item.

We are now going to offer a quantity didcount on all products so that will solve this problem. It would be nice is this feature could be added or just change the options to be the total price and not the + or - amounts.

Thank you for the clarification, Mike.
Most likely the possibility to assign the price to each option variation will be included into this feature: http://ideas.ecwid.com/forums/22031-...ions?ref=title

Is it possible to hide the whole price modifier in the option list??

reason for me asking this is that you could rename your option to incorporate the price in the option name manually.

if i had a $20 product with an option that added $10 i could name that option : "option B $30"

just a different angle on a workaround that i wouldnt mind trying

Hi,

It is possible to hide the modifier, if the "Radio buttons" option type is used.
