I have an problem with my embed shop. I embedded my shop to my hp and everything is ok..but I can´t change the page size. The shop have the same size in the shop categoy and the same size in the products category...but I have only 3 category that means you see veeeery long empty site to scroll down. On the site products is it ok because they have 8 products and the place is used. How I can fix this problem?

Hi Vik,

Thank you for contacting us.

I checked your Ecwid store page on your website here: http://slidertest.magix.net/SHOPHERZVERBINDUNG/shop.htm

The thing is that you inserted Ecwid into a container, which has strictly specified width and height:
Code:
<div class="xr_noreset " style="position: absolute; left: 30px; top: 295px; width: 903px; height: 1799px; overflow: hidden;">
Ecwid adapts to the container you add it in, so the best approach is to add Ecwid into a responsive website, into a container without a fixed dimensions, so that it can adapt to the browser width and height and use the space correctly, thus increase/decrease the dimensions based on what content is present.

In your case, the width and height are 'told' to Ecwid, so that they don't actually change at all and there can be display issues like too much of blank space on some pages or if the height is not enough - the content may be simply cut off.

So if you have an option to add it to a container without height and width specified - your Ecwid store page will have dynamic height and the storefront itself will adapt to the width of a parent container.

If you are unable to insert Ecwid into such container, you can leave the things as they are now and your Ecwid store pages will display fully, without the content being cut off.

Another option here is to direct your customers to your Ecwid starter site, which is located here: http://store4772032.ecwid.com/ It is fully responsive, so it means that it is mobile friendly as well and it displays perfectly in mobiles, tablets and desktops. You can use it as your main storefront as well.
Thank you.

ok, thanks for the help. I can´t change the code. I am not a programmer. I think I must use the shop from ecwid.
Is it possible to put some links to return to my homepage like menu: home, impressum, contact etc..
Or maybe is it possible to create navigation menu inside my ecewid shop...without my own homepage?
I think this is the best solution for me, but how i create the navbar?

http://store4772032.ecwid.com
Thanks

Hi,

As I see, you get around this situation in two ways:
1. Create a navigation in your website which will lead to specific pages in your Ecwid store, as you suggested.

Ecwid allows you to display specific category page by default when a user visits a page.

So you can create a several separate pages in your website, for example:

Page 1: Postkarten
Specify the default category to be 'Postkarten' using instructions by the link above

Page 2: Anhänger..in Kürze
Default category: 'Anhänger..in Kürze'

Page 3: T-shirts...in Kürze
Default category: 'T-shirts...in Kürze'

This way you will be able to specify height for specific category page in your website builder admin area.

After you do it, you will need to custom navigation in your website's top menu which will point to the specific pages of your Ecwid store with default categories specified.

2. The second way is to direct your customers to your Ecwid starter site: http://store4772032.ecwid.com when they click on 'Shop' link in your website.

If you need them to be able to return back to your website, I suggest that you add a link to your main website in the category descriptions of your Ecwid store, like this: http://take.ms/6kvap

You are also able to change the way your store looks, so in case if you wish to change how your Ecwid starter site displays, please follow these instructions: http://help.ecwid.com/customer/porta...e-ecwid-design
Thank you.

Hi Vik,

You can find and edit the description of categories in your Ecwid store in Ecwid control panel > Catalog > Categories. Just select a category and the category description editor will appear on the right.

Thank you!
