yes, I knew it and mentioned in the question. having product browser on a page eliminates any sense to have "custom" product catalog as don't see purpose to have both.

I know it's possible to hide button "continue shopping" that would lead to product list, but the page still would exist... I could block ecwid script on cateogy and product location modes, but it would look like a hack to me... why there is no some standard solution for this? Why not using certain token to tell you want to open it in a popup or put in a certain html container or to tell that the browser is used only to display the cart - not the catalog (aka cart widget instead of product browser widget)?
