Terribly sorry for keeping you waiting for so long.

And I'd like to thank you for pointing this out:
we have investigated the issue and we can confirm, that the article with the list of variables contained an error.
The variable, that can add affiliate ID from an order to a notification, should actually look like this: ${order.affiliateID}

We have tested it, and we can confirm that it's ${order.affiliateID} variable, that indeed displays affiliate ID of the order, and it can be used in mail notifications.

The article will be also corrected shortly.
