Sell Downloadable Files Up to 25GB

We remember times when 100 MB was quite enough for most sellers dealing in e-books, audio files, documents, or photos. But a lot of merchants started to sell bigger files, like movies, lossless audio, or even software. Now you’re not limited by smaller files, as you can upload files up to 25 GB in your store!

You can sell basically any type of files:

No matter how large are your files, you get all the cool features for selling e-goods in Ecwid. This includes previously mentioned functionality like download link protection, unlimited number of files per product, and unlimited storage and bandwidth.

How to Sell Downloadable Products Online

Here’s a quick tutorial on how to start selling software, PDFs, movies, e-books, MP3s, or any other type of digital goods.

  1. Create an Ecwid account here. E-goods are available on all paid plans.
  2. Add a product to your new store and set the image, title, description and price. Do not forget to check the option labeled “This product does not require shipping”, so that your customers don’t have to fill out a shipping address. It means they get to complete their purchase more quickly.
  3. Upload your file (or files) under the “Files” section on the product management page. As soon as the file is uploaded, your electronic product is ready to be sold!

If you also want to sell downloadable items, you can add a digital product to your Ecwid store. Here’s how it works: you upload a file when creating a product page, and it will be delivered to customers automatically via unique download links after they make a purchase.
