Introducing Mobile Responsive Checkout with PayPal Payments Pro Hosted

At Ecwid, our goal has always been to make it as easy as possible for your customers to buy from your online store via mobile and web, and to give merchants more flexibility in creating an excellent shopping experience.

So today, we’re happy to announce that our PayPal Pro Hosted integration is launched and mobile-ready, letting UK shoppers enjoy easier checkouts in Ecwid stores that use this payment method.

The mobile-optimized checkout is designed to help you capture more sales — allowing you to spend more time running your business and less time chasing abandoned carts. With this complete, now all of Ecwid’s PayPal integrations are mobile-optimized, showcasing how Ecwid and PayPal are embracing the increasingly important mobile commerce world.

How it works

The integration is fully hosted, PCI-compliant, and includes a PayPal merchant account. Additionally, all payment options are displayed on the last checkout step in an inline frame, allowing merchants to deliver a completely seamless buying experience for their customers.

PayPal Payments Pro Hosted offers a way to more securely accept credit and debit cards or PayPal payments without customers having to leave the Ecwid store. It gives merchants the ability to design and control the customer shopping experience from start to finish, allowing their brand to dominate while PayPal and Ecwid do the work in the background.

Beautiful checkout on any device

Among the community of Ecwid merchants, sales via mobile or tablet devices make up 27% of online purchases. Customers are much more willing to use their mobile devices to make purchases, so it is important to make sure that checkout is mobile-optimized in your store.

Fortunately, Ecwid is fully prepared for mobile commerce with responsive design, so your storefront and its checkout pages work well and look great on all devices.

Ecwid strives to ensure that our stores look beautiful on any device with responsive design functionality, and PayPal is one of the most popular payment methods in Ecwid stores. Therefore, we worked with PayPal to integrate a mobile-optimized version of PayPal Pro Hosted to make sure that merchants are able to let their customers shop from anywhere.

It is very important that your store is mobile-ready. Now that all PayPal methods integrated with Ecwid are mobile-ready out of the box, you’ll have no problem delivering a great shopping, and buying, experience.
