Improve Customer Service with Ecwid's New “Order Editor” Feature

Great news for all Ecwid merchants: it is now possible to edit existing orders in Ecwid stores. Merchants can edit purchased items, product options, customer addresses, order emails, shipping totals and more. All you need to do is install the “Order Editor” Ecwid app from this page: order-editor.ecwid.com

You may be all too familiar with customers wanting to change an order they have already placed. For example, perhaps your customer wants to order a different size t-shirt, order one more item, ship an item to different address, or fix a typo in their email address — now you can easily edit almost any information on your existing sales using our new “Order Editor” app. Your sales records will always be accurate and your customers will see correct information in their order history.

How to install

In order to install “Order Editor”, please go to the app page: order-editor.ecwid.com Then click the “Install” button and provide the necessary permissions to the app. After that you will be redirected to new “Edit Order” page in your Ecwid control panel, where you can start editing your orders immediately.

The Order Editor app is available at no charge for all users on Business and Unlimited plans. If you’re on the Free, Venture or “Silver for Early Adopters” plan, please consider upgrading to the Business plan to use this new feature.

Important notice for users on the old “Silver” plan: if you upgrade to the Business plan, you will still keep your old product limit for early adopters.

How to use

After you install “Order Editor”, the new “Edit Orders” page will appear in your control panel. On this page, you will be able to select an order or search your sales by order ID, email, item names or customer name.

Then, select an order and you will be able to:
 — Add new items to an order
 — Remove items
 — Edit existing items: product name, SKU, options, quantity
 — Edit customer’s address, name and email
 — Add or remove a discount
 — Edit names of payment and shipping methods
 — Edit order total or shipping fee

Finally, save the changes and they will be applied immediately.
