How to Resize an Image on iPhone

  1. Open the Photos app.
  2. Select the photo.
  3. Tap “edit” in the top right of the screen.
  4. Select “Crop and Rotate” from the bottom left corner.

  3. Click the pencil icon on the bottom menu bar.
  4. Click the three dots in the top right corner.
  5. Select “Resize.”
  6. Choose a reduced percentage from the resize options.
  7. Tap “Done.”
  8. Click Save to save the new version.

How to Resize an Image on Windows 10

Many third-party tools can be used to resize images for printing on a PC, but we will use the built-in Photos app. Here are the steps.

  1. Right-click the chosen image.
  2. Select Open with>Photos.
  3. Click on the three dots in the top right corner.
  4. Select resize from the drop-down menu.
  5. You can either choose one of the three preset options or click “Define custom dimensions.” This will bring up another window and allow you to input a custom size.
  6. If you want to keep the same aspect ratio, click the box “Maintain aspect ratio.” This simply means that if you enter one dimension number, it will automatically adjust the other dimensions in proportion. If you want to change multiple dimensions, leave the box unchecked and enter the desired numbers.
  7. Select “Save resized copy.”

Here are the steps for resizing in Paint as well.

  1. Create a copy of the image.
  2. Right-click the copy and select “Open with>Paint.
  3. Click ‘Resize’ from the top menu bar.
  4. Select the bubble next to ‘Percentage’ or ‘Pixels’ based on how you’d like to measure the resize.
  5. Input the desired numerical changes in the boxes next to ‘Horizontal’ and ‘Vertical.’
  6. Click the box next to ‘Maintain aspect ratio’ to keep the proportions the same.
  7. Click ‘OK’ to apply the changes.
  8. Select Save from the top menu to save the changes.

How to Resize an Image in Canva

  1. Click on the ‘Create a design’ tab.
  2. Click ‘Edit photo.’
  3. Select the desired photo within the finder window.
  4. Select ‘Open.’
  5. Click ‘Use in a design’ from the top right corner of the image editor.
  6. Click on the photo, a blue border should appear around the picture.
  7. Use the markers on the side of the border to stretch in the direction you want.

You can adjust the picture either horizontally or vertically, but it may lower the photo quality. To maintain the aspect ratio and quality, click on one of the four corners and drag. This will change the size of the picture while keeping the proportions intact.
