Your feed is totally empty. Make sure you submit your data according to the recommendations for the tool you use to actually get some outcome.

I don't know Google Merchant Product that well, but a quick look at the info on Google Merchant help, it looks like one can use a php script to produce the xml feed of your Ecwid products using the basic product api and then you can have it stored on your own server.

Whenever google requests the xml file, it will automatically show the latest quantities and availability of your products.

I use a similar set up for producing an up to date xml site map file for my websites.

Yes however, the problem is no matter what script is used if there is not a "standard" of parameters that meets GMC's guidelines, which will become stricter September 22nd, the information will never be viable.

I keep saying this over and over again.

http://base-forum-announcements.blog...

If the question is never asked of us, with out ESC's, what color is that item, what brand is that item, what XXX is that item, then the feed will loose all viability as of September 22nd 2011.

Again, why not take the approach of the industrialized world. Could you imagine if every time you bought a thing from, IKEA, every screw had a different tool in which to screw it? When it says "get a flat head screw driver" that is going to be the same flat head driver used all over the world and hence help build your product.

This is the same thing on a software scale.

Check out my spreadsheet thread. Even if you don't have Excel 2010 you can get a free account on windows live skydrive and have Excel Web App for free and use the spreadsheet.

thank you Alex, have gone through each step and have my store name listed in ecwidtools and all my categories listed there but no data in the feed and GMC rejects the url (says it doesn't accept "/" characters).

Dear Justin!
Just looked at the database, you have not selected category. Please check your categories again.. perhaps it is our new bug. I will ask programmer tomorrow.
Сharacter "/" , because there is "<empty/>" in feed... Empty feed not contains correct XML, and GMC met <empty/> tag in incorrect place

selected Garments, clicked Save and still empty feed. shouldn't i be able to select all my categories?

edit: i assume i can select ECWID Categories from the top and would include all categories

aw i see, now that i have selected and saved (my category) garments, i now have Taxonomic tree categories listed under Garments now.

still no feed yet though.

Also, the Taxonomic tree doesn't seem to have a category that fits my product line (medical devices/instruments), although i doubt it really matters
