reading through this could more information be given on how this works, what and why we need your site, and what are the major advantages as opposed to doing it ourselves. LOL, if we could even do it ourselves.

I just checked your feed and undetectable for any errors. Perhaps you tried to publish a feed before the system is managed to generate.
Please try to do it now. If you have any problems - let us know and we will find a solution.

Hey Mars-development. I just wanted to tell you that you have taken over my entire weekend. LOL. Oh man I was up for nights.

I saw what you were doing and I started looking into it and because it was giving errors and warnings, from the xml file created, I looked into what could be done to get around it.

Then I had an idea, I said to myself, "why don't I just create my spreadsheet to work with what Google Merchant Center wants and then create the .txt file so I don't have to do things twice."

So, I re-worked my entire setup / Excel Workbook so that it will cover every aspect of what GMC wants in a very clean and easy to use format including variations.

The things is, and I am glad you put me through the pain, this way is truly the "right" way of creating your merchandise for online sale. Much more complete and thourough.

What I wanted to ask you and see if you were interested is if you might be interested in working together on our projects to get the best out of what we are trying to do.

My thought is this... The tab delimited file is IMHO the easiest thing to create but getting it from the Excel xls to .txt (of only a specified sheet carrying all of the neccessary GMC information) is capable straight from Excel but perhaps it could be done via a script as well.

So the thought is that someone would upload the sheet of GMC information from Excel and you could spit back a .txt file that would be online like the xml file and could be scheduled for updates on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Or something to that effect.

Basically my way is going to be very manual but more complete and your is very automated but limited by the scope of information that is entered into Ecwid.

The next great thing would be to upload the information from the .txt not only to GMC but to Ecwid and other merchant services as well.

Let me know what you think.

Hey Mars,

What I feel and what I would implore Ecwid to try out if at all possible is to take an industrial standard specification to Google Merchant Center.

What I mean by that is if I can create 1 single spreadsheet with all of my items and upload them to Ecwid with equal or greater standards of GMC than your Ecwid tools with generate a very clean viable GMC data feed.

There are many spreadsheet programs out there besides even Excel but even excel with Windows Live skydrive has a free version of office one can use for this purpose.

Nevertheless, Ecwid has to show interest and desire to make that possible but it is totally to their discretion. I feel it would set them apart from many other carts in a truly innovative and positive way.
