i suggest using a "constant" somewhere in administration panel, and use it for fastest deploy and update items.
i mean this:
in item detail description sometimes can be useful to setup a constant were have inside all kind of standard information about this item or categories.
for ex.
[CONSTANT1] can contain html code (message, notes and so on)
in one or more items detail page we can put this code [CONSTANT1] and have automatically all standard info contained into constant.
we use this way into our cms and believe me it's a really fastest way to setup a project in less time...
