Hi, I would also like to change color of my active category link. Have tried to implement the code that you suggested, but no change in color on my end.
Could you help me?
My site is at http://www.aaurum.com/
The category links on the right would change color when I mouseover, but when I am in that category, the link goes back to black. I would like to change to red.
Thank you.

As far as I can see, you have added this code not to the Ecwid CSS theme (Ecwid control panel -> System Settings -> Design -> CSS Themes), but to the page source directly. This is not quite correct, because the changes you have added may be overwritten by the rules of the Ecwid theme.
Please add the required code to Ecwid theme.

Hi Ksenia,
Have added it to the Ecwid theme and removed it from page source directly.
Still do not see change in color on my end.
Kindly advise.
Thanks.

I've checked the "Standard (copy)" theme in the control panel of Store 1273193, but unfortunately have not found the code added there. Am I checking the wrong control panel?

Sorry about that.
Have activated the Randy theme, with the code added in.
To no effect, though.

As far as I can see, you do not use Ecwid Vertical categories menu ( http://kb.ecwid.com/w/page/15853321/...) , you use your own custom categories menu instead.
The code suggested affects the default widget, not a custom one. Could you possibly let us know why you prefer using a custom menu? Would you like to switch to the default widget?
If you prefer using your custom categories menu, their color can be changed by means of a custom javascript created with the help of http://kb.ecwid.com/w/page/41188517/JavaScript API.

Hi Kess,
Thank you for getting back to me.
I have reverted to the default widget and it works now.
However, I would like to remove the grey horizontal lines between each category, and is it possible to adjust the length of space between each category name?
Thanks!
