Default Custom Shipping Not Calculating Properly

Since activating the new shipping system, my custom shipping settings now appear with an extra approx. $6.40 added during checkout? i.e. I have set up a custom shipping cost for parcels delivered within Qld, Australia @ $9.50, but a charge of $15.90 is appearing during checkout. Also, I have set up free shipping in Custom Table and again a charge of $6.40 is appearing during checkout. I can't find where this $6.40 is coming from? Please help ASAP.

Hi,

I've inspected your site. As far as I can see, some of your products have additional fixed shipping rates. A shipping freight formula for those products are defined as 'Global + Fixed rate', it means that an extra fixed rate is added to an order total when such a product is purchased. These settings might cause the changes in shipping cost that you discovered - if the cart contained products with different fixed rates, they were summed up and shown as a resulting shipping cost. For example, here is the shipping settings of the '2D Zoo - Chocolate' product in your store:

In you want to remove those extra charges, you will need to set the shipping freight option as 'Global' for each product. You can manage the product specific shipping settings under the 'Tax and Shipping' tab on the product page in your Ecwid control panel.

If it doesn't help, please provide an example, explain how I can reproduce the issue and see incorrect shipping rates. I will investigate it. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I figured out the issue was with the "fixed & global" setting some time after posting my question. It's a shame that FREE SHIPPING option does not override this setting though.

Cheers,
