We use Google Checkout and Paypal in our shop, but we need to gather customer telephone numbers for all our orders. Is there a way we can force that information (make it compulsory) for any customer who buys through our shop?

We checked the boxes to register before checkout, and to enter tel no on checkout, but it tells us that it only applies when Paypal and Google Checkout are not used. So what can we do to get customer tel no's when PP and GCO are used?

Yes, just as it is stated in the control panel panel, the options you set to require signing in and providing a phone number in Ecwid will not affect the PayPal Express Checkout and Google Checkout. Those 2 are alternative checkout paths, they collect the customer data their own way and only provide Ecwid with the results. So the phone number should be required on those checkout systems too.

On PayPal, you can turn the Contact Telephone Number option at https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/custo... to the On (Required) state.

Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to have a required phone number in the Google Checkout.
