Are you having troubles with saving the changes in Ecwid control panel?
If you have edited a product in your Ecwid control panel and for some reasons the changes are not saving, please let us know in this thread. We would also appreciate if you specify the following details:
1) Which exactly product you edit?
2) What changes to it did you make? In particular, did you upload a new picture for it?
3) What exactly do you see when the changes are not saving?
4) Any other details?
Why Ecwid guys need this?
Our engineers are investigating a few similar cases from our bugtracker, where the changes in the Ecwid control panel cannot be saved. We need as much information as possible to make the best fix for everyone. So, your help is much appreciated.
How does that affect my shop?
Your data in Ecwid is always safe. Our engineers keep looking after the whole system and the data of your shop. Backups keep saving, storefronts work normally and the orders keep coming. You can still use Ecwid as usually. If you find anything abnormal, let us know, we will help you right away.

I'm having increasing difficulty, including the loss of the text editing functions completely, the insertion of the bread-crumbing links into the product text editing box, and unresponsiveness of the 'save' links. It has gotten worse and worse as the past hour has gone on. Normally made product descriptions now have the <span and &nbs stuff in them, etc.
This reminds me of when a newer version of Flash is being called than I have installed--photobucket is notorious for that.
--this applies to all products, with or without new images.

Can I ask for some more details on that? Please, answer these questions:
1. What browser do you use (what's written in Help → About… screen)?
2. What happens if you reload the control panel (hit Ctrl+R or F5), do the performance issues go away or is the Ecwid control panel still slow for you?
3. How do the other webpages perform when you notice that Ecwid control panel is slow for you? For example, are you able use the GMail / Yahoo mail / Hotmail when the Ecwid control panel appears to be slow for you, and how do those other webpages perform at that time?

I agree when adding products and categories and generally working in the Control Panel is slow or just hangs up. Using Safari for Mac as well as Firefox for Mac. http://50.23.215.197/~glorybe1/store/

So, the Ecwid control panel is low for you, not your storefront, right? Does that happen all the time or after some time? If you refresh the page, does it work as expected? Are there any particular actions you do before you experience the slowness of Ecwid control panel or does that happen unconditionally?

Hi,
i noticed that whenever i am in the ecwid control panel, trying to edit/save in products or categories etc, the CPU usage is always jump up to MORE THAN 50% in the Windows Task Manager.
The ecwid control panel response is extremely slow or just hang on me.
I am just unable to proceed with any undate in ecwid.
I have tried not using other programs, only one internet explorer with ecwid and it is still not responding.
I just opened a second internet explorer screen to report this problem i am encountering and the CPU usage is only 02-03% in the Windows Task Manager.
PLEASE HELP !!!! HOW TO RESOLVE??? I CAN'T DO ANYTHING IN MY ECWID CONTROL PANEL!!!

Hi,
We have tested Ecwid control panel in IE browsers. It is working pretty fast for us. But we understand it doesn't mean that it's working fine as long as you're having the problem. We are working in different environment, hence the loading time may naturally differ. You might be using browser extensions or antivirus software.
As we see the problem is revealed only in IE browser and you're using Norton antivirus. Sorry to inform you it's been discovered recently that Norton Internet Security by Symantec impacts the performance of Ecwid control panel significantly. Other our clients reported the same issue as yours.
Particularly we figured out that the problem arises if option Settings -> Web -> 'Browser Protection' scanning is enabled in the antivirus. This is obviously an abnormal behavior. All codes of Ecwid widgets and store data are totally secure. We trust that security of our product and clients' stores is to be of the highest priority, we have an inhouse team of professionals constantly working on the Ecwid security maintenance.
Most likely Norton antivirus is having difficulties to adequately process Ecwid Javascript codes which causes such slowdown. We reported about it to Symantec and are waiting for their reply:

You can help us by confirming in that post that you're having this problem too.
For now as a temporary solution we recommend the following at your choice:
- To use Ecwid control panel from another browser.
- We understand you may want to continue using your browser. If so, we suggest installing this solution from Google that works inside Internet Explorer and enhances the way it works with sites: http://www.google.com/chromeframe
- To disable Browser Protection setting in the Norton antivirus (Settings -> web -> browser protection)
We will keep you informed of the progress on this issue as soon as we hear from Symantec. We hope they will be able to solve this issue in their software soon.

Problem when saving product.
Hi, i always get that message " Cannot perform this action: Server not responding. This may be due to network connectivity issues or high load on the server. Please, retry later..."
when i try to save a third color(third combination) of a product. Try it many time to save and nothing happens. If though i load in every combination the same picture (rather dublicate it) it works but takes much time to load picture. The same happens some time when i load gallery pictures. Is there any way to solve this? thank you

We need to make changes to our inventory that is out of stock, but are unable to save changes. Getting this message.
Cannot perform this action: Server not responding.
This may be due to network connectivity issues or high load on the server.
The website owners says:
I am having so many problems with our shopping cart! I keep trying to update inventory because we are out of stock and it won’t let me save any of my changes. The good news is we got over 75 orders yesterday from that e-mail blast but today when I was printing all of the orders it kept freezing up. What is up with this thing?
