Hi - Can you tell me when this feature will be added? I have tried using the weight = price as suggested but I have encountered the same problem as a previous poster of it adding shipping charges when it should be free. Also, in the shopping cart it will confure the customer as it states the "weight" in the summary and I cannot see a way of hiding this.

If there is a date for the feature I will continue to integrate Ecwid into my site and grin and bear it, if not I will use something like Mals Ecommerce instead.
Thanks.

We are currently working on the major revamp for the shipping settings in Ecwid. After our development team finishes this modification, it will be possible, among many other cool things, to specify a free or fixed rate shipping for orders at given total.

Unfortunately those changes are rather big, and hence they require a lot of time to properly implement and thoroughly test them. So, they will arrive with one of the upcoming Ecwid releases, which we will announce specially.

Meanwhile, you can possibly resort to workaround described in thi thread. To hide the weights please refer to this article: http://kb.ecwid.com/w/page/21500165/...

Hi Eugene - thank you for this. However, I am not a developer, I am using Moonfruit to build my site and Ecwid for the shop. I have tried adding it to the HTML code for "Product Browser Widget Code" but this doesn't work.

Is there a way I can stop the weight from showing from the Ecwid control panel?

It should not be added into the HTML. The code from that article should go into your Ecwid CSS theme.

Any idea when the update will be made available? And will it be available via Yola? My Goal This is to create this:

Order Total Shipping Charge
Up To $9.99 = $5.95
$10.00 To $24.99 = $6.95
$25.00 to $44.99 = $7.95
$45.00 to $59.99 = $8.95
$60.00 to $74.99 = $9.95
$75.00 to $99.99 = $10.95
Over $100.00 = FREE

And please add shipping prices based on order weight:

0-2kg = specified price
2-5kg = specified price
5-10kg = specified price
10-30kg = specified price
etc. etc.

actual shipping based per KG is useless.

thnx..

The new shipping configuration will be available for merchants who use Ecwid in Yola as well. We cannot give the exact ETA, but we will do our best to finish it as soon as possible. According to our current estimations, it'll be ready in 2-3 months.
Did you try a workaround suggested in this thread (post #2)?

It is already possible with the current Ecwid version to set shipping based on an order weight. You can set it either by setting fixed costs for particular weight limits (as you mentioned) or in more precise manner - by setting per weight unit rates. Please refer to this article for the details:
