ok, sorry, it finally says 112 of 112 items inserted, however it has a lot of warnings.. brand, shipping weight, mpn, google product category and product type. Is this something I need to do on the catalog side first?

Those items, though they may be required in the feed soon, mostly do not exist in ecwid. Pretty laborious but it may be necessary to import your csv file into Open Office Spreadsheet, add the missing columns, export and upload it to Google. Do it as a test feed to avoid ruining your live data.
When you export, I think it is best not to use utf-8.

I really do appreciate your help slice, but I do not understand how to do all of that. Utf8?
live feed?
I know Google inside out, this is the only thing hendoring me.I did use open office and I do see my products in google now, I can add them one at a time etc .. this seems promising. I do want Google to see my brand name though. It is super important.
so brand,
shipping weight,
mpn,
product category
and product type are missing recommended attributes.
Is this going to be possible to fix? If not is ther another program I can use just for this?
I have been struggling with this for 5 months now. Time to make it happen. Maybe I cna pay ecwid?

Ahhhhhhhhh know I get it. If they do not exist then this is no good. Pointless almost as your product will not be found if I am correct.
maybe there is another cart you can use "just" to upload to google merchants? Something cheap just for that? I love ecwid and will stick with them. I know they are doing improvements all the time.
THANK YOU SLICE!

Well it depends really how much your feed changes from month-to-month. However you do it, it may be best to use two sets of data. Why not maintain the second set of data in Open Office?
Not a bad approach though because you really need to use different product descriptions for Google Product Feed. Before using two different databases (one in ecwid and one in Open Office) I used to get problems with sentences cut off in the middle, advertising language in the products etc.
Now I can tailor the results better. Main problem is monitoring which products are out of stock.

Hi Slice. All of our products stay the same each month. Every once in a while we will ad a new product. We stock enough product for 6 months at a time and that will be updated to 1 year at a time. Product descriptions are crucial. Brand as well, this will land you in the top spots on Google brands. Also you want your product to show up correctly in the feeds when people search a certain product. Question is can I modify open office files to rid the errors in merchants? I need to correct the Missing recommended attribute's. Can I do this Eugene?

Certainly you can get rid of all those errors by maintaining the data in open office.I had no errors in my last feed.

I tried to follow the advice in the thread and I still get the no items inserted error. (I also tried ecwid tools which give the same error). I wrote Google a few weeks ago because it says the data quality is good, but some of the items might not comply with policies (????). I sell on Artfire as well, and there they said that handmade or art items would be exempt from certain attributes needing to be included in the feed. The feed there works fine, but for my website one, not so much. I did ask Google about this, but it's been a few weeks now and still no response... I've heard that Google can take forever if at all to respond, but still hoping they will lol.
