Default XML Sitemap

I've set up a mobile version of my store and I want to submit a sitemap to Google.

Ecwid produces an xml sitemap but where do I find it, or am I missing something?

Each mobile catalog has a sitemap.xml.gz file with the XML site-map.
For example: http://mdemo.ecwid.com/sitemap.xml.gz

I've tried to upload that to Google but it doesn't like the address.

My mobile site is at www.store.matramagic.co.uk but Google wants an address www.matramagic.co.uk/store/sitemap.xml.gz

Is there a workaround for that?

Thanks

Why do you want to upload it? Google should recognize the sitemap automatically.

When I say 'upload' I mean present the URL to Google through my Google Webmasters' log-in.

Are you saying that Google spiders the Ecwid site and picks up all the sitemaps that way?

Yes. For example check the robots.txt file of our mobile catalog:
http://mdemo.ecwid.com/robots.txt

I really don;t understand this....http://itcareerpro.ecwid.com/sitemap.xml.gz loads a game on my mac (Big Bang). I went to Google webmaster tools and added http://itcareerpro.ecwid.com to the sitemap tool. It finds that url, but nothing further. How can I view the ecwid sitemap that is submitted to Google to ensure that my site is correctly being indexed by Google?

The .gz file is in the "gzip" format. It's widely used in the Linux world and by developers. Google allows compressing Sitemap files by means of gzip to make them smaller.

Try to install this application and then open this file again:

Thank you for information.

Are you trying to manage exactly http://itcareerpro.ecwid.com in Google Webmaster Tools? How did you verify ownership for the site?
