Ecwid raised $1.5 million in funding & expands to US, UK

We’re pleased to announce our Series A round of venture funding and a planned opening of our first United States and United Kingdom offices. The $1.5 million funding was completed by Runa Capital, a global venture capital firm.

This means a lot for every Ecwid merchant. Our startup was initially created by a small team and was growing without any investments (thanks to our users, who subscribe to our Silver plan!). In two years it grew from just a released app to a solid e-commerce platform used by 115,000 merchants in 174 countries. Nowadays if you want to sell on Facebook, add e-commerce functionality to your WordPress or Joomla site, or just have an easy-to-use and hassles-free store, Ecwid is the best choice.
The investment will allow us to grow even faster and make Ecwid the most popular shopping cart in the world. With more resources we will be able to seriosly expand our team and release new Ecwid versions more often. That’s the main advantage of this investment for each Ecwid user: more great new features you all ask for.
In addition, we will establish offices in the US and UK in early 2012, since roughly 70 percent of our users are based in the United States and European Union.

I fell in love with ECWID from the moment I met it 1 year ago. The most important thing the ECWID team never may forget is the unique concept of beside the product it self and that is: ECWID listens to the users and is trying to please the audience on a wide scale and not where third parties want ecwid to go. Also the forum is in these days so important, I good product without any good FAQ or forum backup/support platform is still not good enough. ECWID is growing, because they learning and working close with clients. Btw I became a silver member

Но мой сайт, вернее его эквидовская часть, все еще не индексируется Яндексом, не смотря на потраченое время и ......плачу по прежнему, исправно!
За эти списанные деньги с моей карты.......пора уже и что то сделать, так что бы не сидеть на форуме и не пытаться разобраться в переписках, нет, я не прав парни? И пытаться понять какой плагин последний? правильный? и самый последний......поверте - потратил время достаточно!

PS. Просто утомила муштра форума на тему яндекса и SEO.........а воз и ныне там. Вы же себя так позиционируете, все за 5 мин., я правильно понял? Почитайте раздел про SEO яндекс и представьте себя не айтишниками?! Надеюсь вам этот отзыв поможет, вы же спокойно относитесь к критике?!
